I've already mentioned the great waste and swindle that is hybrid and electric cars. I'm not alone in thinking they are a waste of money so far. There is a lot of hype to get you to buy a hybrid or electric car but no matter how good marketing is it does not overcome physics. An electric car will not come even close to the efficiency or cleanliness of gas and diesel powered cars and trucks until a 200 pound battery pack will drive a loaded pickup 400 miles at fast highway speeds with the air conditioning keeping you frosty on a 100 degree F. day in Texas for about the same cost that a gasoline powered truck or car will today. There is nothing even close to that today.
