Poor Craig, Not

Craig Schaffner is pitied for his skepticism by some who know him. Even his brother, who says said he has tried repeatedly to pull Schaffner back from the precipice of lucidity.

But Craig has probably read this, te he:

I slept with Faith, and found a corpse in my arms on awaking; I drank and danced all night with Doubt, and found her a virgin in the morning.
